1DAY SAFARI AT MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Departure around 4:30 AM from your hotel, wherever you are on the island – transfer is included. However, we recommend departing from Stone Town to make the day lighter with less travel time. You will head to the airport, where our driver will escort you all the way to the flight check-in. Boarding and landing will take place directly in the park after about a 1-hour flight. You'll meet your guide, and the safari begins! We love this park because, being smaller in size, it allows you to see a maximum number of animals in just one day. Lunch is included in the park, and cold drinks will be available throughout the day. The day will end with another safari session before you take your return flight back to Zanzibar airport, where our driver will be waiting for you in the parking area. A wonderful day full of beautiful memories – for both kids and adults!

WHAT TO WEAR

For a safari, it's important to wear comfortable, functional clothing that blends in with the natural environment. Lightweight, breathable fabrics in neutral tones like khaki, beige, olive, or light brown are ideal, as they help keep you cool and avoid attracting insects or startling wildlife. Long-sleeved shirts and pants are great for sun protection and shielding your skin from bugs or brush, while a t-shirt or tank top underneath can be handy for warmer parts of the day. A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses are essential for sun protection, and a light jacket or fleece is recommended for early morning or evening game drives when temperatures can drop. Avoid bright colors and dark shades like black, which attract heat and tsetse flies. Dressing in layers and choosing practical attire ensures a more enjoyable and immersive safari experience.

  • What is a Transparent Kayak?
A transparent kayak, also called a clear-bottom kayak or see-through kayak, is a specially designed canoe made from clear material, allowing you to see directly beneath you as you paddle. It gives you a unique window into the underwater world, making it perfect for exploring coral reefs, tropical fish, and marine life without needing to get wet.
